Three of the four airworthy A6M Japanese Zeros in the world were in attendance at 2012 Plane of Fame air show. Leading the way the only Zero in the world that remains powered by an authentic Mitsubishi engine is Planes of Fame's own 61-120 tail #NX46770, with X-133 tail # NX 712Z owned by the Commemorative Air Force, a movie star used in making of Pearl Harbor. It has been brought to my attention that the third aircraft is owed by LGT Aviation and is based at Mojave CA.
Forgot to say beautiful shot. I wish to someday see a Zero. Sometime in the next few years I would like to attend the Planes of Fame airshow so hopefully I will see one of these beauties.
I read a lot of aviation forums for news, both UK forums and American ones. The better ones for finding out information are the WIX forum, United Kingdom Airshow Review forum and Key Aviation Forum. Everything else is either aquired knowledge or in the case of getting the zero information, I just googled airworthy zeros and found it's reg number. You can usually find out a lot about an aircraft by with knowing the reg.
